Our Commitment to Sustainability

As a company rooted in agriculture, the health of our environment is vital for everything we do. That's why we prioritise real sustainability from field to brewery — practical, responsible, and designed for the long term.

SUSTAINABLE FARMING

We collaborate closely with farmers by providing practical incentives and financial support to adopt sustainable agricultural practices. Through methods such as crop rotation, responsible water usage, and preservation of soil health, we aim to ensure consistently high-quality barley production while reducing environmental impact.
To achieve excellent brewing outcomes, we source our barley from carefully selected French, Danish, and German varieties known for their outstanding brewing characteristics. Our partnerships with growers are built on mutual trust, ensuring that productivity and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.

ENERGY-EFFICIENT MALTING

We currently power our malting operations primarily with nuclear energy, providing a stable, low-carbon foundation. However, we're actively transitioning to renewable sources, such as solar and hydroelectric power, to further reduce our environmental impact.
Throughout the malting process, we continuously optimise our energy management practices to reduce waste and conserve resources. Additionally, we repurpose malt by-products, such as spent grain, into nutritious animal feed, effectively transforming waste into valuable resources and enhancing the sustainability of our entire production cycle.

LOW-IMPACT LOGISTICS

We transport our malt in bulk from Ukraine to our distribution centres across Europe, using containers whenever possible to streamline deliveries and reduce emissions. Within each country, malt is delivered from distribution centres to our customers using biofuel (HVO)-powered vehicles whenever possible.
By consolidating shipments and optimising delivery routes, we further minimise journeys and fuel consumption, ensuring our logistics remain efficient, reliable, and environmentally responsible.
